| Artist Karl Dowhie It is my great pleasure to not only introduce you to "Cap'n Karl" here, but to have known this outrageously kind, talented and very funny man for since 1991. Karl lives and works in Tempe, Arizona, running several art businesses - Karl Dowhie Studios (where he turns out some of the nicest fine art anywhere - see samples on the right) and Maps4Fun... where he and his staff create those colorful cartoon maps of great towns all over the world. See some sample Cartoon Maps drawn at the Studios of Maps4Fun: Athens (Georgia) Cartoon Map Knoxville, Tennessee Map Pigeon Forge Cartoon Map Karl has helped me produce 10 cartoon maps for Athens, Georgia. I think the world of him and I think he likes me, too (except for my last minute art changes). So much so that he's trusting me to use his art to create these souvenir tees. I've never met the man in person, but they tell me he looks like the photo above (right)... which is exactly how I pictured him.
